If you’ve thought about being an entrepreneur and starting your own business, please check out the book Oh Yes I Did (available on Amazon). I wrote the book with eight other entrepreneurs, telling our stories of what encouraged us to start our own businesses and lessons learned along the way.
Whether you’ve always wanted to branch out on your own or circumstances led you to rethink working for others, you’ll likely find something that resonates in the book.
In my situation, I never thought I’d start my own business and would have told anyone who said otherwise that they were wrong. I saw my parents struggle with their business when I was growing up, saw the time commitment and the dedication required and assured myself this was not for me.
Then, years later, I was faced with the thought of starting over in a new company and realized I had a lot to offer business owners if I was willing to branch out on my own. This was not an easy decision, but I knew it was the right decision as soon as I made it.
Regardless of your situation, we all need to seek out new opportunities and innovative processes. We should push ourselves and our staff to constantly challenge what we know and be open to the possibility of learning new things. The entrepreneurial mindset is vital in moving forward in business and in life.
Please check out Oh Yes I Did, but, more importantly, challenge yourself to learn and try new things and help your employees do the same.
